Principal
Welcome Letter Lucedale Intermediate School is located at 159 Mable Street in the city of Lucedale. We have approximately 300 fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students. We have been a Level 4 "Exemplary" school since the inception of the State Testing five years ago. Our teachers work hard to meet the individual needs of each student. Students receive instruction on their individual reading levels in small groups. Our teachers and assistants also provide small group and one-on-one help as needed. Students work in the computer lab for 45 minutes each day to improve reading, language, and math skills. Our school enrichment program includes 30 minutes of Physical Education and library for fourth and fifth graders. Sixth graders are offered those programs along with art and band. Our students participate in the Accelerated Reading program in an outstanding manner. We have a newly formed Parent Teacher Organization, too.
